“ My wife and I went today had lunch. My wife had pot roast fried okra, macaroni and cheese and I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and lima beans and jalapeno cornbread. The meal was amazing so much flavor service was awesome atmosphere is great. We will be back again. Went there for the first time for an event for a friend. . “ I am glad the area of North Augusta has continued the use of this old home for a restaurant. I absolutely love the Southern Charm feel of this place. You walk up to the big front porch, which has seating. Greeted by friendly staff once you open the door. The daily specials make the menu easy to navigate. I ordered the pork chop with squash casserole and stewed cabbage. Oh my goodness, it was all delicious!!! My husband had the Mac and cheese with mashed potatoes and gravy. Of course I had to taste his sides. The food was perfectly flavored. For dessert we had banana pudding and the lemon bar. Both were delicious. Let’s just say we didn’t need any to go boxes. I had heard good things about this place. I am glad we finally had the chance to try for ourselves. We will be back!!! ”

I had the Flounder and my wife had the Chicken wrap and we shared our sides of Waldorf salad, broccoli salad, Mac & cheese and French fries. I also had the jalapeno corn bread; it was nice and moist and full of flavor. The flounder had a nice crispy coating and the tarter sauce was excellent. We finished up with banana pudding and chocolate cake. ”

“ We grabbed lunch here for the first time today. I didn't want to go to a chain restaurant and the first place we tried was closed so we ended up here on a whim... so glad we did! Everything was so delicious!! The staff were so kind, too. I LOVED the options on the kid menu - perfect for my toddler. We also enjoyed walking around the property and looking at the beautiful flowers. Can't wait to come back!! ”
“ I absolutely adored this place. My mother was in the mood for vegetables and comfort food, and this was exactly what we needed! My only concern was that it is not very handicapped accessible because the parking lot is gravel so getting to the ramp with a wheelchair (or other assistive) would be very difficult. ”

I had the hamburger steak with gravy, cabbage, black-eyed peas, pineapple banana bread and an added squash casserole.Everything was so delicious! Amanda was the perfect server. She was attentive and very friendly. Her timing for the checks and seeing to our to drink refills and to-go needs were on point. I will ask for her section next time when I bring the hubs. ”
